Sewer Camera Inspection: What to Expect, Step by Step

Most homeowners have never seen a sewer inspection. Here’s exactly what happens when our crew arrives.

Before we arrive

Clear access to your main cleanout (usually in the basement or yard). If there’s no cleanout, we can usually pull a toilet — we’ll tell you in advance.

The inspection (45–90 minutes)

1. We feed the HD camera head into the line from the cleanout.
2. The camera travels to the city main while you watch the live monitor.
3. We narrate what we see: pipe material, joints, cracks, roots, bellies, blockages.
4. A sonde in the camera head lets us mark problem spots on the surface with paint.

What you receive

The full video file, a written report with timestamps of every defect, and a plain-English recommendation — clean it, line it, repair it, or leave it alone. The report is yours whether or not you hire us for the work.
